Raleigh Assault welcome the SC Pirates Saturday Night!

Assault Pro Goaltenders EJ Lambalzer and David Levinson to split doubleheader Saturday night.

Apex, NC - The Raleigh Assault play host to the 1^st place SC Pirates this weekend in Apex. The two teams have played a total of 6 times this season with the Pirates winning in four of those contests. This weekend, the Assault hope to gain some ground on the Pirates in what will likely be a tough match-up as usual. Several key players will be missing from action on both sides as the Pirates are missing star players Marc Genest and Darcy Anderson due to injury while the Assault are missing defensive studs Mike Starrett and Michael Downer as well as forward Alex Westin due to prior commitments. The games are sure to be a test to both squads talent depth but if history tells us anything, expect some great competition in this one. Raleigh has added forward Stephen Campbell to their arsenal in hopes of adding more scoring and size to their lineup. Game time is at 5:15pm for the minors and 6:30pm for the pros. Tickets are $8.00 at the door, kids 8 and under are free as always.

Assault Raffle Contest: starting Saturday, the Assault are launching a new raffle ticket contest in which fans, family, players, and staff alike may enter for a chance to win a number of prizes from local sponsors. The contest is being used to raise additional funding for the club and to give even more prizes back to our fans. The grand prize is a 32’’ HDTV from Best Buy. Other prizes include gift cards to Play It Again Sports, East Coast Wings, & Ruckus Pizza as well as team merchandise and memorabilia. The raffle contest runs from Feb. 9^th through April 26^th. All drawings will take place at the regular season finale on April 26^th vs. the Richmond Robins. Winners are not required to be in attendance to win. Tickets are $5.00 each or 5 for $20 and are available at the merchandise booth at all Assault home games. Please show the Assault your support!
